I don&amp;#39;t really know why--I think it&amp;#39;s actually the British way--that&amp;#39;s just the way it comes out. I&amp;#39;m not a fan of The Elements of Style either, I guess. Haha. Anyways, I think lots of Wshington wine doesn&amp;#39;t make it very far out of the state, but more is becoming available, at least in California. What I like about Washington (other than it&amp;#39;s where I&amp;#39;m from) is that the cooler climate seems to allow for modern wines that have old world elements. I&amp;#39;m thinking of making Washington a focus for my wine drinking in 2010. (Well, I say that, but I also want to focus on Portugal, Montsant, Rhone, and Northern Italy so we&amp;#39;ll see how focused I really am.) Lots of good stuff coming out of there and often in a more balanced style than CA.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Also, what&amp;#39;s up with putting the $ after the price (e.g., 15$)? The first few times I noticed it in your posts, I thought it was a typo, but it seems to be a choice.
